Now it is turn of another Secretary in GoI to become Chief Secretary?
The buzz about Haryana is, another union Secretary in the Government of India (GoI) is going to be the next Chief Secretary of the state. If this happens, he would be the fourth IAS officer in the recent past, repatriated and posted as the Chief Secretary. The incumbent Chief Secretary of Haryana TVSN Prasad is going to retire by the end of this month. He is an officer of 1988 batch. Insiders claim that now Vivek Joshi, DoPT Secretary, who is 1989 batch IAS officer may be repatriated and posted as the Chief Secretary. He is an officer of 1989 batch and has long term in the office. He will superannuate on May 31, 2026.
